14K Bookings Confirmed For 2020 Hyundai Creta

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced that nearly 14,000 units of the all-new Creta SUV has just been confirmed since it started taking orders since early this month. Unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo, the model is officially launched today and will be initially sold in the domestic market only.  Starting at a price tag of Rs. 9.99 lakh for the petrol version and going up to Rs. 17.2 lakh for the diesel version, it will be taking on Jeep Compass, MG Hector, Kia Seltos, and a host of other SUVs.

Offered in 10 colour options, which are Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black, Lava Orange, Titan Grey, Deep Forest, Galaxy Blue, Red Mulberry, the 2020 Creta will be available in 5 different powertrain options-a 1.5-litre MPI petrol engine, a 1.5-litre U2 VGT diesel unit and a 1.4-litre Kappa turbo GDI petrol motor as well. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox, an IVT, 6-speed automatic unit and a 7-speed DCT automatic unit as well.

Speaking at the launch of ‘All New CRETA’, S.S. Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “All New Creat is the result of Hyundai’s ‘Ultimate Science of Human Engineering’ to create the ‘Ultimate SUV’ for Indian customers. It is built on a superstructure and promises an inimitable Driving Experience. I am confident that All New Creta will continue to lead the segment.”

Hyundai India had earlier stated that the all new version of Creta will be equipped with global technology BlueLink with over 50 India specific connected features, including a panic button for distress situations.  It also comes with features like a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, trio-beam LED headlamps, BlueLink, electric parking brake, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, air purifier etc.
