Charge Zone Installs Fast EV Charging Stations On Hyderabad-Bangalore-Chennai Highways

As an added feature, the stations will integrate solar power and energy storage systems, ensuring that they operate sustainably while offering reliable, uninterrupted service to users

Charge Zone, electric vehicle (EV) charging network developer, has launched its state-of-the-art mega supercharging stations on the Bangalore-Chennai and Bangalore-Hyderabad national highways. The new stations, equipped with cutting-edge technology, will feature a 1.2MW capacity with solar microgrid integration and 1MWh usable capacity of battery energy storage systems, providing a 24x7 reliability of EV charging.

Placed at every 150-200 kilometer along these key intercity routes, the mega supercharging stations will cater to the growing demand for faster, more efficient EV charging solutions. In addition, regular charging stations will be located in between these supercharging points, ensuring seamless charging access for drivers on the go. Each of the newly launched mega stations will feature advanced DC fast chargers, with capacities ranging from 180KW to 240KW. This will enable faster and more efficient charging for a variety of EVs, including passenger vehicles, buses, and trucks.

Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO, Charge Zone at the launch said, “The launch of these mega supercharging stations represents a transformative step in advancing India's EV ecosystem. By equipping the Bangalore-Chennai and Bangalore-Hyderabad highways with state-of-the-art charging technology, we are bridging critical infrastructure gaps and redefining the long-distance EV experience.”

The charging time at these stations will be optimised, with vehicles achieving 80 per cent charge in around 30 minutes. This will reduce wait times for EV owners and improve the overall charging experience.

As an added feature, the stations will integrate solar power and energy storage systems, ensuring that they operate sustainably while offering reliable, uninterrupted service to users.

In line with its commitment to scaling EV infrastructure nationwide, Charge Zone aims to establish a network of at least 100 supercharging stations with a combined 240KW capacity. The company also plans to expand its network across 40,000 kilometers of highways, ensuring that long-distance EV travel becomes more accessible and convenient for users.
