In November 2022, the French automaker Citroen sold 825 cars. This is higher than the sales for the same month last year. The recently introduced Citroen C3 in the hatchback sector has significantly aided in this development year over year.
Currently, Citroen sells the C3 and the C5 Aircross in India. Citroen had growth of 1486.5 per cent year on year. The C5 Aircross was the sole model Citroen offered in November 2021, and only 52 of those vehicles were sold, therefore this number is astronomical.
Citroen sold 1,195 units in October 2022; this has now dropped to 825 vehicles in the most recent month, representing a 31per cent reduction in sales. Additionally, Citroen's market share in India is approximately 0.3 per cent.
Since the launch of the C3, Citroen is accelerating its market share and achieving volume increases. The firm also plans to make an electric version of the vehicle's ICE counterpart.
Citroen is also providing appealing discounts on the C3, its entry-level hatchback, which has a starting price of Rs 5.88 lakh (ex-showroom), two versions, dual-tone colours, and two personalisation packs.
