Hyundai Motor India has revealed that Ioniq 5 will come with Hyundai's SmartSense Level Two ADAS features. With 21 Level Two ADAS features, Hyundai Ioniq 5 will deliver a smart and intuitive driving experience.
“Earlier in 2022, we introduced Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS functionality to India and Hyundai Ioniq 5 will become the second model in our line-up to present this smart and intuitive technology to our customers,” said Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO, Hyundai Motor India.
Hyundai SmartSense uses equipment such as Front Radar, Front Camera and Rear Radars to detect and mitigate risks of collision, offering the driver adequate warning and if necessary, automatically applying countermeasures to offset an impact.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 will also come with features such as Safe Exit Assist that helps avoid collisions with a rear side vehicle when exiting. If an approaching car is detected from the rear side as you open your door, SEA provides a warning. SEA also helps keep the door closed through electronic child lock.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been equipped with multiple driving safety Level Two ADAS features such as forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist car, forward collision-avoidance assist – pedestrian, forward collision-avoidance assist – cycle, forward collision-avoidance assist – junction turning, blind-spot collision warning, bling-spot collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, blind-spot view monitor, safe exit warning, safe exit assist.
With the integration of smart and intuitive technology, Hyundai Ioniq 5 allows you to make the most of every drive offering Level Two ADAS features such as smart cruise control with stop and go, lane following assist, high beam assist, leading vehicle departure alert.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 even offers features like Rear Occupant Alert that monitors the rear doors opening and closing so nothing is accidentally left behind inside the car. When you stop, turn off the vehicle and open your door to exit, ROA will display a “Check rear Seats” warning message on the digital instrument cluster.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be equipped with the following parking safety functions such as rear cross-traffic collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, surround view monitor, rear occupant alert.
