Kawasaki has introduced the Kawasaki W175 as its most cost-effective model in India. The W175 is Kawasaki's entry-level motorbike in India's 'W' series, a "legacy" line with a classic aesthetic, and it lives up to its moniker. The Kawasaki W175 costs Rs. 1,47,000 for the Ebony hue and Rs. 1,49,000 for the Candy Persimmon Red shade (Ex-Showroom).
The Kawasaki W175's design features numerous vintage elements. It has a single-piece ribbed seat, a round analog speedometer with a small digital inlay, front fork gaiters, and a round halogen headlamp. The W175 has dual shock absorbers with 65 mm of travel in the back and 30 mm telescopic forks up front for suspension.
A 177 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine produces 12.9 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 13.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm to power the motorcycle. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed transmission. A 270 mm disc brake is used up front, and a drum brake is used in the back.
Although the W175 receives single-channel ABS as well, the technology is limited due to its outdated design. The motorcycle is also exceptionally lightweight, with a kerb weight of just 135 kg, making city commuting with it simply.
