Since its establishment, Maruti Suzuki has consistently held a majority market share of over 50 per cent in the Indian automobile industry. Maruti's extensive and equally dispersed dealership network must also be recognised for growing its market share, even if its cost-effective and well-rounded models have been highly received in the Indian market.
In reality, one of the major reasons influencing Maruti's sales has been the company's strong dealership network, and Maruti is continuing to expand on it. On November 18, Maruti Suzuki inaugurated its 3,500th showroom in Hyderabad, giving it sales touchpoints in 2,250 locations throughout the nation.
In FY 2021–2022, Maruti Suzuki increased its sales outlets by 237. With the addition of 170 outlets between the months of April and October of the current fiscal year 2022–23, network expansion is still experiencing a significant uptick.
