Police Conduct Raid Against Counterfeit Products In Delhi & Kerala

Pioneer, the Japanese manufacturer of car infotainment, assisted civil raids in Delhi and Kerala market with the help of local commissioners appointed by Hon’ble Delhi High Court against the circulation of Pioneer branded fake car speakers. The raids were aimed at manufacturers, whole-sellers, and retailers of fake Pioneer products who were disseminating fake items such as speakers & tweeters.

In Delhi, the raids were conducted in the electronic consumer markets of Karol Bagh and Lajpat Rai area, and in Kerala popular markets of Tirur, Kannur, and Cochin were targeted. These locations are the main hub for auto accessories and have a big number of consumers looking to buy electronic products. Huge quantity of fake Pioneer speakers & tweeters were found and all the counterfeit items were seized at the respective premises of the shopkeepers by the local commissioners with the help of police officials.

“Customers who trust the Pioneer brand are being cheated by the sellers of fake products. Very cheap quality material is used in manufacturing the fake speakers hence the sound quality and durability of the product are compromised. For customers to check the authenticity of our products, all genuine pioneer speakers have a special 3D hologram on the box and there is a warranty card inside each box with serial no. of the product mentioned on it. There have been plenty of times where raids like these have taken place in the past against the circulation of imitated speakers in the market and heavy penalties have been imposed on guilty by the Hon’ble Court.”, said the Spokesperson of Pioneer.
