Renault India Launches The New Renault Kwid Range With Enhanced Features

The car has been a true game-changer and volume driver for Renault India, selling more than 2,75,000 units. Available with numerous segment-first safety features and a new 17.64 cm Touch screen MediaNAV Evolution, the new RenaultKWID Range has been launched at no additional price, further enhancing its value proposition, enabling the customers to #LiveForMoreValue.

The new KWID Range gets several active and passive safety features including Anti-Lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (ABS with EBD), Driver airbag and Driver & Co Driver Seat belt reminder, speed alert, standard across all variants.

NEW TOUCH SCREEN MEDIANAV

The new Renault KWID Range gets a new and intuitive 17.64 cm touchscreen Media NAV system with capacitive touchscreen, enabling clearer text and icon with faster response in terms of touch and screen transition. The new connectivity system which is compatible with both Android and Apple Carplay has a ‘Push to talk’ button allowing operations easy with a press of a button and better accessibility to all favourite applications like music, videos, navigation all of which can be seamlessly used through smart phone.

The other segment-first equipment that notches up the novelty aspect is the Rear view camera assist through sound warning and colour guidelines which is standard across all variants. The rear view camera assists in parking effortlessly and safely. The stylish KWID Climber gets an additional Rear Arm rest for extra comfort and convenience.

The 0.8 litre and 1.0 litre SCe (Smart Control Efficiency) engines which will power the Renault Kwid Range are optimally designed for better performance and best-in-class fuel efficiency. The 4 valves per cylinder of the Double Over Head Camshaft (DOHC) layout ensures low pressure drop and super-efficient valve lift for a higher air filling; thus allowing the engines to make usable power at low end, mid-range and high-end rev bands. The Easy-R Gear Box is a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) technology derived from Renault’s rich and successful expertise in Formula 1. It will enable a clutch free driving experience that combines the fuel economy and performance of a manual transmission with the convenience of automated gear shifting. The Innovative Shift Control Dial with three modes Reverse – Neutral – Drive has been smartly designed for ease of use. An advanced control unit automatically optimizes gear shifting in accordance with driving conditions for smooth and regular acceleration to offer a comfortable and stress-free driving experience.

The Easy-R gearbox can be operated with an innovative shift control dial that is positioned below the infotainment system on the centre console. The car will have an advanced throttle control unit that would monitor the throttle input by optimising acceleration and gear shifting.
