Renault, the European automotive brand in India, has launched the updated version of its trendy SUV - CAPTUR with more safety features in compliance with the regulations stipulated by the Indian authorities. The new updated CAPTUR is equipped with numerous active and passive safety features across all variants along with a host of other new feature additions.

Renault CAPTUR is certified to exceed frontal, lateral and pedestrian safety and is compliant with safety features stipulated by the Indian authorities. The reinforced body shell increases torsional rigidity to ensure passengers are always safe. The new Renault CAPTUR is equipped with a host of active and passive safety features like dual airbags, Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist, Speed alert, Rear parking sensor, Driver & Co-Driver seat belt reminder, height adjustable seat-belts, lateral ISOFIX – child seat anchor, rear defogger, rear wiper & washer, and speed sensing auto door lock. All these safety features are standard across all versions of the new Renault CAPTUR.
New 7” touchscreen Infotainment system now supports Apple car play and voice recognition. . It also features Eco Guide - a system that monitors driving patterns and provides guidelines to improve efficiency.
Renault CAPTUR is available with both petrol and diesel powertrain options. For the petrol option, it is powered by the 1.5L H4K petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, producing 106 PS and 142 Nm of torque. The petrol powertrain delivers a mileage of 13.87 kmpl (ARAI certified).
The diesel version is powered by the ubiquitous 1.5L K9K diesel, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering a maximum power of 110 PS and peak torque of 240 Nm. The K9K Motor is known for its reliability and longevity and gives a mileage of 20.37 kmpl (ARAI certified).
