Sokudo Electric Launches Two RTO & One Non-RTO Complied E-Scooters

Electric two-wheeler manufacturing startup, Sokudo Electric has launched three new electric scooter models - the Select 2.2, Rapid 2.2, and Plus (Lithium) in the Indian market. The new RTO models comply with the FAME-II standards and feature smart fireproof lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) batteries and a 15-amp converter for efficient charging. The third electric scooter is a Non-RTO model by the name of Plus (Powered By Lithium).

Following the launch, the company anticipates its new electric scooters to capture 15-20 per cent of the market and aims to showcase India’s manufacturing prowess and contribute to the nation’s goal of 80 per cent sales penetration for electric two-wheelers.

The Select 2.2 (RTO) with a range of up to 100 km is priced at Rs. 85,889, Rapid 2.2 (RTO) with up to 100 km range comes for Rs. 79,889, while Plus (Lithium) (Non-RTO) with a range of up to 105 km is priced at Rs. 59,889.

The new models are equipped with a 15-amp converter for charging and run on smart fireproof lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) batteries, eliminating the risk common in NMC batteries.

The scooters with 3.5mm to 5.25mm ABS plastic bodies feature CANBUS connectors to enable real-time monitoring for easier maintenance and come with a three-year warranty on the battery and a 5-year warranty on the vehicle.

Expressing his thoughts on the new launch, the Founder & CMD of Sokudo Electric India, Prashant Vashishtha, stated in a press release, “Over 5 lakh individuals who purchase Non-RTO lead-acid scooters each month get stuck with inefficiencies such as limited range and short warranties. With our new two-wheeler models, we aim to provide Indian riders with safer, more efficient, and reliable options with long warranties and better ranges at a much more affordable price."
