Suzuki V-Strom SX 250 Launched In India: Read Specifications
In addition to the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF250, Suzuki Motorcycle India has now launched V-Strom SX in the 250cc segment. With the launch of Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, the company is making its entry into the 250cc sports adventure tourer segment in India.
Being projected as the adventure bike, the company says that it can tackle a variety of rough terrains and will give you a comfortable riding experience on long highway roads.
Features
The Suzuki V-Strom SX is equipped with loads of features such as Suzuki Easy Start System which allows the engine to start with a click of a button, a USB outlet to charge your devices, a full digital instrument cluster, Suzuki Ride Connect that lets you sync your mobile phone with the bike which helps you with navigation, call and notification alerts.
Design
The new V-Strom SX gets its styling and engineering cues from the Suzuki V-Strom series that is sold in international markets. Being an adventure bike this one has a tough and rugged look which makes it suitable for Indian riders. At a first glance, the design looks compact and sturdy which is inspired by the DR-Z racer and DR-BIG off-road models and has been remade specifically for the V-Strom SX. Other prominent design elements are the octagonal-shaped LED headlights which give the bike a rough look along with a small windscreen on the front.
Engine
Suzuki V-Strom SX is powered by 4 stroke, 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that’s mated with six speed gearbox which is similar to an engine that we have seen before on the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF250. The sports adventure is powered by Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology which promises to deliver high fuel efficiency without compromising on the performance of the vehicle.
Competing against the likes of its rival Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 250 Adventure, and Yezdi Adventure, this one has an added advantage as it comes with Suzuki Oil-Cooling System (SOCS) which makes more power and helps warm up the engine quickly.
Speaking at the launch event, Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India said, “We feel delighted to announce our entry in the 250cc adventure sports segment with the launch of V-Strom SX. The All-New V-Strom SX has been manufactured to cater to the needs of the riders who like a versatile sports adventure tourer. V-Strom SX will be perfectly suitable for the city and highway riding as well as to explore various kinds of adventure terrains on a motorcycle.”
The Suzuki V-Strom SX is available in three colour variants – yellow, black, and orange with a price of Rs. 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom).
