Tata Launches Tiago EV At Rs. 8.49 Lakh
Tata Motors unveiled the Tiago EV in the nation, with starting prices of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The model comes in four variations, five colour choices, and two battery pack configurations.
For a deposit of Rs. 21,000, Tata Motors has announced that it would begin taking reservations for the Tiago EV on 10 October, with deliveries beginning in January 2023. Only the first 10,000 reservations, of which 2,000 will be held exclusively for owners of Tigor EV and Nexon EV, will be eligible for the company's introductory prices. The 24kWh battery pack type will be prioritised for delivery, according to Tata.
The 19.2kWh battery pack for the Tata Tiago EV will be available; it is expected to have a range of 250 km and produce 60 horsepower and 110 Nm. The 24kWh unit, on the other hand, boasts a 350km claimed range and generates 74bhp and 114Nm. Additionally, Tata Motors will provide this EV with two charging choices, a 3.3kW charger and a 7.2kW charger.

The Tata Tiago EV receives a blanked-off grille with the recognisable tri-arrow motif on both ends to set it apart from the ICE variant. It also has an eye-catching EV emblem, projector headlamps, and electric blue accents. While it receives modified alloy wheels for freshness, the side profile of the standard model is kept.
The air vents and digital instrument cluster are painted electric blue to go along with the electric vibe throughout the inside. A height-adjustable driver seat, automated climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a steering wheel with mounted controls are among features that the electric hatchback offers.
Additionally, it has 45 ZConnect features with smartwatch compatibility, cruise control, multi-drive modes, re-gen modes, leatherette seat upholstery, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, electric auto fold ORVMs, automatic boot opening, and more. Along with DC fast charging, the electric hatchback is compatible with 3.3kW and 7.2kW home charging. The latter can charge it from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in 57 minutes.
