The third member of Tata Motor's EV lineup, the Tiago EV, will make its debut on September 28, 2022. The forthcoming Tiago EV's specifications have not yet been released by the company. It is anticipated that it will share a powertrain and EV platform with the Tigor EV.
Currently, Tata Motors offers two different engine options for the Tigor EV: one for individual purchasers and another for fleet operators on the XPres-T.
The entry-level motor found in the XPres-T, which delivers 41 horsepower and 105 pound-feet of torque, is anticipated to be used in Tata's next electric vehicle. A 21.5 kW DC fast charger is also likely to be included.
The more potent powertrain from the Tigor EV, which generates 75 horsepower and 170 Nm, might potentially be used in the Tiago EV. A larger 26kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a claimed range of 306km powers this motor. Additionally, a more potent 25kW DC fast charger can charge this battery pack in a reported 1 hour, 5 minutes.
Tata's forthcoming electric vehicle is expected to look similar to the present ICE-powered Tiago but it's also possible that it will have the same cosmetic blue highlights as the Tigor and Nexon EV. One portion of the Tigor EV's split battery pack is located in the car's boot. The battery pack in the Tiago EV's packaging has yet to be determined by Tata Motors.
