Tata Nexon Facelift ICE (Internal Combustion Engine)

Indian automobile manufacturer, Tata Motors has launched the facelift of its best-selling SUV, an all-new Nexon. Available in four craftfully curated personas – Fearless, Creative, Pure and Smart, and in petrol and diesel powertrains, sales of the new Nexon begin today (14th September 2023) with an introductory starting price of Rs. 8.09 Lakhs.  Launching the new-gen Nexon, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, said, "With over 5 lakh vehicles sporting the Nexon nameplate running on Indian roads, its unique blend of mass appeal and aspirational tone is exceptional.  The new gen Nexon is a bold representation of our understanding of what our customers aspire for.”

The new Nexon flaunts a modern and premium design language that radiates sophistication and dynamism, making a commanding statement on road. It comes fully loaded with cutting-edge features, including state-of-the-art connectivity solutions, upgraded safety enhancements, and personas, offering a unique experience and is way ahead in its segment.  

Key highlights of the New Nexon:

Design: The redesigned front, Bi-LED Headlamps & Sequential LED DRLS grab all the attention be it day or night. And features like Daytime Lit, X Factor, and Taillamp with Welcome & Goodbye, adds a sense of class and modernity. Meanwhile, the emotive blade lamps, swipe, instead of blinking. And the extended spoiler houses the rear wiper, hidden in plain sight. The interiors are also completely re-imagined. It comes with a 3-Tone Dashboard, with rich Leatherette Mid Pad. The new gen Leather Wrapped Phygital Steering Wheel, with 2-Spokes, has Tata's Illuminated logo, making it a first, in India. The luxurious cabin feels like a grand console with a Leatherette Armrest. 

Performance: The 7-speed DCA, operated by a monostable shifter, together with a swift and sporty paddle shifter. Makes the performance refined and effortless. It comes with a choice of an advanced 1.2L Revotron Turbo Petrol or a 1.5L Revotorq common rail Diesel engine, that comes in varied combinations of Manual, Automated Manual, and Wet clutch 7-speed DCA transmissions.

Safety: The new Nexon sports safety features that are standard across variants like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, 3-point rear seatbelts with occupant detection, passenger airbag deactivation switch and ISOFIX Child seats. The high-definition 360-degree, surround-view system, front parking sensors, and a blind-view monitor allows timely alerts for vigilant driving. It is also equipped with an E-call, that triggers round-the-clock assistance, in case of an emergency, and B-call assistance, at any time, to address a car breakdown. 

Technology: The new Nexon offers latest tech features like voice-assisted electric sunroof, a 10.25” infotainment system by Harman with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, first in segment 10.25” digital instrument cluster, Connected Vehicle technology with iRA 2.0, which offers remote engine start-stop and AC, 30+ navigation and safety features.

A radical approach: The new Nexon will be available in four distinct Personas- Fearless, Creative, Pure and Smart.

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, also launched the all-new Nexon.ev. 

The Nexon.ev is available in three personas– Empowered, Fearless and Creative and is available from an introductory starting price of Rs. 14.74 Lakh, the Nexon.ev will be retailed from authorised dealerships across the country.

All-new Nexon.ev in brief:

Design: The new design denotes an electric modernity with an iconic look. A new digital design approach, where the core character of the car is innovative, tech-forward, aspirational.

♦ The bi-functional LED DRLs coupled with center position lamp provides an unmissable distinct identity to the EV. A very important functionality introduced is the smart charging indicator to display the SOC level during charging.

♦ It greets you with a welcome signature when you unlock the car and goodbye when you lock it. 

Technology: It offers a 31.24 cm (12.3 inch) ultra-High Definition (HD) touchscreen infotainment, which is the largest in the segment.

♦ The cinematic visual experience is further enhanced with top-of-the-line In-Cabin audio experience with Harman’s AudioworX and 9 high-quality JBL speakers. The vehicle acoustic experience has been enhanced with multiple customised audio modes

♦ The cinematic infotainment screen is complemented with a large 26.03cm (10.25 inch) High Definition fully reconfigurable Instrument Cluster offering multi-dial view.

Gadget on wheels: First of its kind in India, An app store - Arcade.ev. This would allows you to enjoy your favorite video, productivity, navigation or games apps, including OTTs. Watch a movie or series when waiting for someone, or attend conference calls while your car is charging. Offers 4 Voice Assistants and Tata’s very own ZConnect Connected Car Technology has been upgraded to offer over 60+ features, including remote control car functions. 

Efficiency: The range of the all-new Nexon.ev LR (Long Range) has been increased to 465km (MIDC Certified). An increase of 12 km.

Features: The Nexon EV offers a digital driving experience, featuring multi-mode regen, multi-drive modes, paddle shifters for on-the-go Multi-Mode Regeneration, and smart digital shifter.
