The Sub-4m MPV - Renault Triber Launching On June 19th

Renault will be launching its first sub 4m MPV that would sit between the Ertiga and the Datsun GO+. This is a very niche category that the company is wandering into but it seems necessary considering the fact that the last release from Renault, the Lodgy was a fail with an enormous headroom and the drivability was not so dynamic.  It even had some connectivity problems with the infotainment system.

The Triber is scheduled to be launched in Delhi on the 19th of June. As far as the features are concerned it will borrow the 8-inch touchscreen from its sibling, the Kicks and would likely have automatic climate control, a digital instrument cluster and side airbags.

It is expected to come with a premium looking design, daytime running LEDs along with roof rails and LED tail lamps.  The engine that this car would have is likely to be seen. It is suspected to be a 1.2 liter petrol unit borrowed from the Datsun Go + which would be mated to a manual or an automatic transmission. At its launch, it will only be available in Petrol. In the Indian Renault lineup, the car is likely to be placed between the Kwid and the Duster with prices ranging from Rs 5-7.5 Lakh ex-showroom Delhi.
