TVS Racing set a benchmark by introducing the race format to domestic racers in 1994. Replicating its domestic record, and continuing its international success after the first-ever TVS Asia One Make Championship (OMC) in 2022, TVS Racing is back with the second edition of the championship with more vigour and determination to break previous records. Following its sheer dominance in domestic two-wheeler racing, TVS Racing is now geared up to host the second edition of its flagship racing event this year which in line with last year will be held alongside the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).
Backed by four decades of racing pedigree, last year’s championship demonstrated the product prowess of TVS Motor’s flagship motorcycle - TVS Apache RR 310 as it created a milestone for TVS Racing, setting a new top speed record of 211.2 kmph in its class at Chang International Circuit, Thailand. The team also achieved the best lap timing of 1:50.850, breaking all its previous records on the TVS Asia OMC RR 310, based on the TVS Apache RR 310. With a rich history and undisputed leadership in two-wheeler motorsports, TVS Racing has been instrumental in flourishing the racing performance culture and engineering the TVS Apache series through the company’s “Track to Road” philosophy. TVS Apache recently crossed its five million global sales milestone, making it the fastest growing premium motorcycle, in line with the product prowess and trust amidst customers.
With a commitment to excellence, TVS Racing continues to push the boundaries of Indian motorsports and inspire the next generation of riders.
Speaking on the occasion, Vimal Sumbly, Head Business – Premium, TVS Motor Company said, “After the grand success of the maiden TVS Asia One Make Championship, we are thrilled to announce the second edition of the event, and discover new racing talents. This global championship is a platform for us to showcase the remarkable capabilities of TVS Racing’s TVS Asia OMC RR 310, based on our flagship motorcycle – TVS Apache RR 310. With top-class racing talent, state-of-the-art machinery, and a highly competitive environment, the championship is set to display some exciting performances in the two-wheeler racing arena. Extending its commitment for excellence, TVS Racing continues to push the boundaries of Indian motorsports and inspire the next generation of riders, and we wish the entire TVS Racing team and its racers the very best for this upcoming season.”
In order to display a stronger feat at the championship, the TVS Racing team has worked on the race bike’s components to improve reliability for consistent performance. This year, the technical team’s focus is on customizing the bike setup to suit each individual racer. The selection for the second edition of this global championship has been made based on the riders’ skill, consistency, adaptability and their most recent achievements.
The second edition of TVS Asia One Make Championship will be held across all 6 rounds of the ARRC and will see the TVS Asia OMC RR 310 racing in 2 new countries including Indonesia and China, along with Thailand, Malaysia and Japan.
