Noida-based electric two-wheeler manufacturing Start-up, AMO Mobility has launched Jaunty i Pro, a high-speed smart two-wheeler to cater to the evolving electric mobility needs of Tier-I and Tier-II cities, and last-mile delivery segment. The new Jaunty i pro comes in three colours, white, blue, and grey, and can be accessed through their 200+ dealerships.
The manufacturer hopes this home-grown indigenous model will contribute up to 50 per cent to its revenue while supporting the government’s ‘Make in India’ drive. With this launch, AMO Mobility has expanded its electric two-wheeler product line and aims to increase its shares in the rapidly growing segment of the Indian EV market. The company plans to manufacture 30,000 Jaunty i Pro models for the Financial Year 2024-25.
Jaunty i Pro’s Ex-showroom launch price is set at Rs. 1.15 lakh. The e-scooter is equipped with an advanced 2.52 kWh battery, a Smart Battery Management System, and a fast charger that facilitates a charging time of approximately 3.5 hours. The two-wheeler has a load-carrying capacity of 151 KM and offers three-speed modes - Economic, City Ride, and Power Mode, which can go up to a top speed of 60km/hr.
Powered by high Efficiency BLDC hub motor which generates 143 N-m torque at 2.95KW and 2.52KW battery that delivers a range of up to 120km on a single charge.
To enhance vehicle safety Jaunty i Pro comes loaded with advanced battery technology coated with anti-flame potting material and a buzzer that sends alerts about battery temperature. It also adopts CAN 2.0B protocol and features advanced combination braking system and safety communication systems to ensure rider safety and comfort.
Sharing his thoughts on the new model, the Founder of AMO Mobility, Sushant Kumar (Ex- Tata Motors), remarked in a press statement, “The battery capacity of 2.52 kWh and unparalleled mileage make up an incredible combination, which I believe will connect the most with the modern riders and facilitate the electric two-wheeler vehicle adoption rate in India’s rural and urban areas. With all its parts manufactured in India, we expect Jaunty i Pro to make a Domestic Value Addition of over 90 per cent at the supplier level while supporting our country’s fight against emissions.”
AMO Mobility’s use of locally manufactured components for this new vehicle and its comprehensive warranty standards align with the new Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme’s guidelines. After the launch, the EV manufacturer plans to explore more local partnerships to expand market reach.
