Hero Motocorp Registers Sales Of More Than 1Million Units In Q1 FY22, June Sales Above 4.6 Lakh Units

Hero MotoCorp has reported a total sales of 4,69,160 units for the month of June, against 4,51,983 units for the same period last year. Of these figures, Domestic sales for the company accounted for 4,38,514 units while exports stood at 30, 646 units. Motorcycle numbers increased to 4,41,536 from 4,18,141 in June 2021, while Scooters saw a decline at 27,624 units compared to 33,842 units from June 2020.

In a statement released to the press the company said “Heading into the upcoming festive season, the company remains cautiously optimistic about the customer demand in the coming months. The expected surge in personal mobility, forecast of a normal monsoon in several parts of the country and the improving rural sentiment are expected to lead to a swift revival in sales.”

For the Q1 of FY2022, Hero MotoCorp almost doubled its sales at 10,24,507 units against the same period last year. Domestic sales for Q1 FY22 stood at 9,40,707 units while exports were at 83,800 units. Between Motorcycles and Scooters, Motorcycles from Hero MotoCorp recorded a sale of 9,59,589 units while Scooters stood at 64,918 units.

“Hero MotoCorp highly appreciates the positive interventions by the government to revive the economy and provide support to industries impacted by the second-wave of COVID-19. Till date, 92% of the entire workforce of Hero MotoCorp has been vaccinated with the first dose. “ said the company in a statement.
