Honda To Launch City 2023 Gen 5 In March 23

Honda is getting set to launch a facelift for the Gen 5 Honda City once the vehicle has been upgraded to comply with the impending RDE requirements. A redesigned engine lineup, along with visual and feature changes, are anticipated for the upgraded City.

Although not so many of the upgrades in the City have yet been observed, some cosmetic changes might be very mild. New bumpers and changes to the grille for the sedan, which Honda may emphasise with some new colour options.

While the interior's layout is anticipated to stay the same, the car may get even more features. One of them might be the inclusion of technology like wireless phone charging and ventilated front seats, both of which are now available on the majority of the City's competitors. The infotainment system and linked services Honda offers on the vehicle could potentially be improved.

Regarding the engine lineup, the 1.5-litre petrol engine will be maintained and modified to meet with BS6 Phase 2. As before, both manual and CVT gearbox options will be available for the engine. While the City diesel may get retired, the City Hybrid will continue to run with similar improvements. The new City could be priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh higher than the present model when it is introduced.
