Mahindra Hikes Price Of Thar RWD Up To Rs 50,000
Mahindra quietly increased the cost of the Thar RWD, an off-road lifestyle vehicle, by Rs 50,000. In January 2023, the Thar RWD was introduced in India with an MSRP of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Three variations of the SUV are available: LX petrol AT, LX diesel, and AX (O) diesel.
According to reports, the company has now hiked the cost of the Thar RWD LX diesel variant by up to Rs 50,000. The model may be ordered for Rs. 11.49 lakh with this increase (ex-showroom). The prices of the other two variants, the AX (O) diesel and the LX petrol, are still Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 13.49 lakh, respectively.
The Thar RWD has a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine under the hood. The former generates 117 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, while the latter generates 150 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The petrol engine is combined with a six-speed automatic transmission unit, while the diesel engine is connected to a six-speed manual gearbox.
