Mahindra Unveils Its New XUV300 TurboSport At Rs 10.35 Lakh

A more potent turbo petrol variant of Mahindra & Mahindra's well-known subcompact SUV, the XUV300, has been introduced. The Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport model has three trim levels: W6, W8, and W8(O), with prices ranging from Rs. 10.35 lakh to Rs. 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is the first Mahindra SUV to be powered by a brand-new 1.2-litre mStallion TGDi engine, the newest member of the mStallion family of engines. Previously, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines from the Thar, XUV700, and new Scorpio N were the only engines available.

According to R Velusamy, President of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Automotive Technology and Product Development division, "The new TurboSport series, powered by the TGDi powertrain, has been created for thrill-seekers looking for the pinnacle driving experience. Customers seeking an SUV that is filled with adrenaline will benefit from the performance, safety, comfort, and styling advantages that the XUV300 TGDi offers.

The 1197 cc, inline 3-cylinder, dual VVT (variable valve timing) TGDi engine that powers the Mahindra XUV300 TGDi has three cylinders, four valves, and TGDi technology. The engine is configured to produce around 128 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 230 Nm of maximum torque at 1500-3750 rpm. With the transient over boost function, the maximum torque output is 250 Nm. The SUV has a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard equipment and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5 seconds.

The XUV300 TurboSport, according to the automaker, is inspired by the Mahindra Super XUV300, the predecessor of the current Indian National Rally Champion (INRC), which has won six national rallies since its rally debut in 2019. A dual-tone exterior option, new 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, red highlights on the grille and bumper, and piano black finishes are just a few of the stylistic changes this new turbo-petrol XUV300 has to offer to indicate its sporty nature. Blazing Bronze, Pearl White, and Napoli Black are the three colour choices for the SUV, and each is available in both monochromatic and two-tone variations.

On the other side, the cabin has a completely black interior with red accents and pedals with a chrome finish. Other amenities on offer include a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an electric sunroof with anti-pinch functionality, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, premium leatherette upholstery, and passive keyless entry.
