Niranjan Gupta Takes Charge As CEO Of Hero MotoCorp

Niranjan Gupta who took charge as Chief Executive Officer of Hero MotoCorp on May 1, 2023, called upon the company's Chairman Dr. Pawan Munjal in Delhi today.

Expressing his excitement and gratitude to Dr. Munjal, Niranjan Gupta said, "Truly humbled to be trusted with the responsibility to nurture and move forward the great legacy that has been built by Dr. Munjal and Chairman Emeritus!" 

Congratulating Niranjan Dr. Munjal handed over a handwritten personal note to him saying, “I have and will always have your back! Wishing you success and the very best as you ride into this new era.”

Pawan Munjal, Hero MotoCorp's former chief executive, will remain with the company as an executive chairman and full-time director on the board.

Gupta has over 25 years of rich leadership experience in finance, mergers and acquisition, supply chain and strategy roles across business sectors, including Consumer Goods, Metals & Mining and Automobiles. He also serves as a director on the Board of Ather Energy, HMC MM Auto, and HMCL Colombia. Prior to Hero MotoCorp, Niranjan spent three years at Vedanta and 20 years at Unilever across global roles.

He has been elevated from his position as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Head – Strategy and M&A. The company will announce a new CFO in due course.
