The Harrier and Safari SUVs from Tata Motors now have ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and many other features. Additionally, bookings for the updated cars are now being taken. In India, upgraded SUVs are anticipated to be on sale soon.
The ADAS technology comes first on the list of changes. The Tata SUV will now come equipped with up to ten safety technologies, including lane departure warning, blind spot detection, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high beam assist, lane departure warning, lane change alert, door open alert, and rear cross-traffic alert. Six airbags and a 360-degree surround camera will also be included with the SUV.
Tata has upgraded the Harrier cabin with the Oak Brown tone on the dashboard in addition to increasing safety. A new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with an improved user interface and more than 200 voice commands in six languages will also be placed inside.
Behind the SUV's steering wheel, an all-digital, seven-inch instrument cluster will offer a further enhancement. The upgraded infotainment system also has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection.
In order to compete with the XUV700, the Harrier now has six-way powered driver seats with memory. Mechanically, the new Harrier will be powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine that complies with BS6 Phase 2 and produces the same 168 horsepower and 350 nm of torque. Meanwhile, the outgoing model's transmission choices will be retained.
