Tata Motors introduced the Tiago EV last month, with a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric hatchback is currently available for official reservations from the Indian automaker for Rs 21,000 Out of the four variations and two battery pack choices for the Tiago EV, Tata will prioritise the manufacturing and delivery of the 24kWh (long-range) model.
The new Tiago EV will only be available for test drives in December 2022, but it will be on display in many major cities this month. In the meanwhile, EV deliveries will begin in January 2023.
The Tata Tiago EV's feature highlights include a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, cruise control, multi-mode regen, automatic climate control, electric tailgate release, City and Sport drive modes, leatherette upholstery, and a reverse parking camera.
19.2kWh and 24kWh battery packs are available for the Tiago EV as battery alternatives. These fuel electric motors, which generate 60 and 74 horsepower, respectively. The former's claimed driving range is 250 km, while the latter's range is up to 315 km. The 7.2kW AC charger is only available with the XZ+ and XZ+ Tech Lux models, whereas a 3.3kW AC wall box charger is provided as standard across all variations.
