Trek Bicycle organizes their marque multi-city event ‘Trek Founder’s Ride’ in New Delhi recently. The event witnessed over 120 cycling enthusiasts participating and navigating through the heart of the city. The event served as an enriching platform filled with cycling conversations; connecting riders and encouraging them to share their inspiring stories as well as receive cycling tips from the experts at Trek.
The 20-kilometer ride was specially designed to offer a riding opportunity for everyone - from beginners to recreational cyclists to avid cyclists. The Delhi chapter was co-organized by The Bike Shop – Trek authorized dealer in the city.
Talking about the brand and the cycling culture in Delhi and India, Navneet Banka, Country Manager, Trek Bicycle India said, “Delhi is one of the top 3 markets for Trek. The first-ever Founder’s Ride in Delhi was an exciting experience as all the spots were filled in the first week of opening registrations - which speaks volumes about the cycling culture in the city. The cycling community is evolved here and we can see a lot of enthusiasts anchoring the randonneuring laurel. Given the continuous push at all levels, we will further see more and more individuals take-up the sport.”
“Activities like ‘Trek Founder’s Ride’ aim to bring together cycling enthusiasts, encourage community building and cement our commitment to provide an all-inclusive riding & brand experience”, he added.
Gaurav Wadhwa, Dealer Partner The Bike Shop, Delhi said, “We are delighted to be a part of the historic Trek family. Over the years, cycling as a sport and as a recreational activity has seen tremendous growth in Delhi. A lot of people are adopting cycling to stay fit as well as contribute towards the environment and one can often spot people riding on their bicycles as a weekend activity.
