Yulu Starts Operations In Noida; Plans To Launch In More Cities In U.P

Yulu plans to take the franchise partner route to expand to cities like Lucknow, Varanasi, and Agra

Yulu, a shared electric vehicle (EV) mobility technology startup, today launched its service in Noida. To begin with, Yulu’s EVs will facilitate technology-led, sustainable, and affordable hyperlocal deliveries in the city.

This expansion makes Noida the 11th city in Yulu’s growing nationwide network and the seventh where it has a direct presence after Bengaluru, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Delhi, Gurugram and Hyderabad. Yulu is also present through its franchisee initiative, Yulu Business Partner, in Indore, Kochi, Tirunelveli and Pondicherry. The recent launch strengthens Yulu’s presence in Delhi-NCR, where it has offered people, goods, and leisure mobility services since 2019.

Commenting on the launch, Amit Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO of Yulu, said, “Noida’s infrastructural growth and digital economy make it a perfect fit for our sustainable e-mobility services. The love and goodwill received by Yulu in Delhi and Gurugram in the national capital region make us confident about speedily winning both mindshare and market-share in Noida as well.”

Yulu’s service is aligned with Uttar Pradesh’s EV Manufacturing and Mobility Policy, which encourages fleet operators to electrify last-mile logistics services for various food delivery, e-commerce, and quick commerce platforms in the state.

Gupta added, “Having grown up in Uttar Pradesh, I have personally witnessed the state’s urban transformation as well as its determination to become future-ready by adopting progressive and sustainable solutions. Yulu will not only support the UP-government’s efforts to promote greener logistics, but foster an ecosystem of clean, affordable, and accessible mobility. We look forward to empowering gig workers with convenient and cost-effective EV solutions while supporting businesses in their journey toward fleet electrification.”

The launch will be anchored by a newly opened Yulu Centre in Sector 63, Noida, which will serve as the operational hub for Yulu’s future expansion in the region. The fleet’s energy needs will be met by Yuma Energy, a technology-powered battery-as-a-service (BaaS) player.

Even as it scales up its operations within Noida, Yulu will explore options to expand its people and goods mobility services to other cities in the state, including Lucknow, Varanasi and Agra, through the franchise route.
