AS Mittal Appointed As Vice Chairman Of Punjab Planning Board In Cabinet Minister Rank

The Punjab Government Cabinet meeting on Thursday under Chairmanship of Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh gave ex-post facto approval to the appointment of noted industrialist Vice Chairman of Sonalika Group and Chairman of ASSOCHAM (Northern Council). Amrit Sagar Mittal as Vice Chairman of the Punjab State Planning Board in the rank and status of Cabinet Minister, besides also approving the terms and conditions in this regard. 

The appointment period of the Vice-Chairman has been fixed from his joining date i.e. July 30, 2019 till April 11, 2022. Hon’ble Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh is the Chairman of the State Planning Board and Finance Minister is Secretary of the Board and Cabinet Ministers are members of the Board. On this assignment Mittal thanks the Hon’ble Chief Minister Capt. Amrinder Singh. 

Speaking on the appointment, Mittal said, “Being Vice Chairman of the Punjab State Planning Board I will fulfill the expectations for the economic and rural development of Punjab in the right way.”
