Bajaj Auto Reports 10% Increase In Sales

Bajaj Auto said it sold 4.41 lakh units in September as against 4.02 lakh units in September 2019. The company also reported a 24 per cent increase in its Month-on-Month (MoM) sales indicating rising demand after the lockdown.

The domestic sales saw a rise of 6 per cent to 2.28 lakh units as compared to 2.15 lakh units in the same month last year.

The export also saw a steep hike of 14 per cent to 2.12 lakh as against 1.86 units in September last year. This is the highest ever export of the company to date.

Two Wheeler sales hiked by 20 per cent to 4.04 lakh units as compared to 3.36 lakh units in the same month corresponding year.

However, the 3 Wheeler segment saw a steep decline to 44 per cent to 36,455 units as against 65,305 units in September 2019.

The company claimed that it reported the highest ever two-wheeler exports with a rise of 16 per cent in September at 185,351 units as against 159,382 units in the same month last year.
