BSES Empanels Evolt, To Set Up Charging Stations Across Delhi

Electric vehicle charging Infrastructure startup eVolt has announced its three-year empanelment by three DISCOMs of Delhi, which are BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL), BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL), to set up a robust EV charging station network across the Capital.

As an empaneled vendor of these DISCOMs, eVolt will set up electric vehicle chargers at semi-public sites comprising, but not limited to malls, offices, colleges along with privately-owned spaces such as residential and apartment complexes.

As part of the association, the Delhi-based startup will be setting up EV Chargers in these spaces, and the Government of NCT of Delhi would provide a subsidy of up to 100% on slow chargers and up to Rs 6,000 per charging point. The subsidy will be applicable for the first 30,000 chargers.

This is in line with the Government of NCT of Delhi's Electric Vehicle Policy launched on August 7, 2020. Under the policy, the Government is promoting the adoption of electric vehicles in the city to make Delhi the EV Capital of India.
