PMV Electric, a Mumbai-based start-up has introduced its first electric four-wheeler, the Eas-E EV, at a price of Rs 4.79 lakh. The Eas-E has a seating capacity of two passengers, a driver and a passenger at the rear. It is more compact than other affordable ranges of hatchback cars as it is 2.9 metres long.
The Eas-E will get an exciting parking feature which can help the car to move forward and backward through using a smartphone app, similar to what consumers find in premium cars such as BMW, Audi, and others. Also, this can be operated from the inside of the car by using multifunction steering.
The Eas-E will be offered in multiple versions with different range capacities such as 120 km, 160 km, and 200 km. A lithium iron phosphate battery pack will be installed as structural to the car's body frame having a power of 48 volts, which can be charged by using a household 15A powered socket within three to four hours. The motor of the car will be having capacity of producing 13.5 hp and torque up to 50 Nm and can reach up to the top speed of 70 kmph.
The company has also offered an infotainment system with bluetooth, power windows, AC, electronic ORVMs, and above mentioned connected car tech. The company has taken care of the safety of passengers by offering driver airbag, reverse parking camera, and seatbelts.
The direct rival of this EV is going to be Tata Tiago EV and MG Air EV. Customers can book this car from the official website of the PMV Eas-E EV with token money of Rs 2,000. Bookings of the car are underway in India for limited 10,000 customers there will be an introductory price of Rs 4.79 lakh. So far the company has registered 5,000 bookings. The company will announce the prices of other variants soon.
