Tata finally wants to venture into a new space with the Altroz. It wants to get into the premium hatchback category competing with the likes of highly successful cars like the Baleno and the i20.
THE CONCEPT :
The Tata Altoz is the production version of the 45X which was category unveiled at the 2018 auto expo and it will fall under the premium segment.
CHASIS :
It will be based on TATA’s ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform architecture which is borrowed from the 2.0 Design language.
EXTERIOR :
On the outside, it will come with LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, electrically operable ORVMs with turn lights, and LED tail-lamps.
INTERIOR :
On the inside, it is expected to come with a floating multi-function infotainment display just like the Nexon and the Harrier along with a digital MID screen at the center with a multi-functional steering wheel and a host of other comfort functions.
ENGINE:
The Engine is expected to be the same as the Nexon with 1.2-liter petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel mated to an automatic or a manual gearbox.
PRICE :
Altroz was spied testing recently in Pune and from the looks of it, it might come with 8 spoke sporty alloy wheels and the car is expected to be priced at Rs 5.5-8.5 Lakh Ex-Showroom Delhi.
