The Harrier was Tata Motors answer to Mahindra’s XUV500, Hyundai’s Creta and Jeep Compass. At launch, the Harrier came with 140Ps Kryotec Motor and a 6Speed Manual gearbox. The lack of an Automatic Gearbox and a Sunroof kept the buyers off as the competition offers both. Tata Motors is leaving no stoned unturned this time around with The Harrier, As the 2020 Edition of the Harrier gets everything that was lacking in the Harrier at launch.
More Power
The Kryotec Motor powering the Harrier now comes with 170hp, a cool 30hp jump compared to the OG. This is the same engine powering the Jeep Compass. The Power increase should actually make the Harrier quite quick and fun.
Panoramic Sunroof
Lack of Sunroof was major omission during the launch of Harrier, even though in the Indian climate its more fancy than usable, yet buyers want it. The 2020 Harrier gets a Panoramic Sunroof. This addition will surely make the Cabin of the Harrier much brighter and airy. The Sunroof also gets a global closure function which closes the sunroof when the ignition is turn off, there is anti-pinch feature and rain-sensing closure also built into the sunroof. Electronic Stability Control is now standard across all variants.
6 Speed Automatic
This has been the biggest omission while launching the Harrier 2019, Tata Motors has now launched the 2020 Variant with a 6-Speed Automatic.
New Features
The Flimsy Seat height adjuster in the Harrier has been replaced by 6 Way Power adjustable seat, The IRVM is now electronic. The infotainment system now gets themes that can be customized by the user and the same time there now 3 USB ports for charging and connectivity.
New Alloys, ORVMS
A New Harrier gets 17inch Diamond Cut alloys along with New ORVMs
