BYD Launches Atto 3 Electric SUV At Rs 34 Lakhs
Chinese EV maker BYD known as Build Your Dream has introduced their electric SUV Atto 3 in India for Rs 34 lakh. The car makers have registered nearly 1,500 bookings for the Electric SUV so far. BYD opened the bookings of Atto 3 on 11 October at Rs 50,000. BYD has announced that the delivery of the car will begin by January 2023.
BYD’s Atto 3 has a capacity of producing 200 hp of maximum power and 310 Nm of peak torque. The car will have three riding modes – Eco, Sport, and Normal and it can reach up to 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. The electric SUV has an NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) claimed range of 480 km and ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) claimed range of 521 km. Customers will get a 7 kW home charger along with a 3 kW portable charging box as well as six free maintenance services.
Atto 3 will be loaded with all new features such as a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, a powered tailgate, and a wireless phone charger.
In terms of safety, the car will be provided with seven airbags and electronic safety control. ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) will provide safety from forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. The electric SUV has got a five-star rating for safety in the Euro NCAP crash tests.
BYD Atto 3 is going to compete with EVs such as MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric, these cars are in a price range of Rs 22 – 26 lakhs. However, Atto 3 is approximately Rs 10 lakh expensive compared to both EVs.
