The revised Streetfighter V4, V4 S, and V4 SP2, the latter of which is the new top-spec, track-focused, hyper-naked sport motorcycle in the V4 family, were unveiled by Ducati. The new Streetfighter V4 series borrows design influences from the 2023 Panigale V4 and features new colours and a revised fuel tank that can accommodate 17 litres of fuel. For the S and SP2 variations of the new range, a new lithium-ion battery that is 1.7 kg lighter than the outgoing model is also included. In order to produce downforce at high speeds, it keeps adding biplane wings on the sides.
The 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine, which produces 205 bhp at 13,000 rpm and around 123 Nm at 9,500 rpm, is still a part of the new Streetfighter V4 range. A 6-speed transmission with a dual-direction Ducati Quickshifter is used with the engine (DQS).
Full, High, Medium, and Low are the four-engine power delivery modes added to the Streetfighter V4 lineup. The engine power in low mode decreases from 208 horsepower to 165 horsepower, and the throttle response also becomes less responsive. A new "Wet" riding mode is now available, which engages all electronics while reducing power delivery to increase safety when riding on slippery conditions. The swingarm pivot of the 2023 Streetfighter V4 series is 4 mm higher than that of the Panigale V4 to increase the anti-squat action, which improves stability, precision, and the ability to maintain the trajectory when accelerating out of corners.
When it comes to the Streetfighter V4 SP2, it is a fully equipped yet bare-bones version of the recently unveiled Panigale V4 R. It gains new track-focused equipment like Brembo Stylema R callipers, STM-EVO SBK dry clutch, 5-spoke carbon fibre wheels, Ohlins suspension with complete adjustment, and a carbon fibre clutch cover. The redesigned wheels improve handling by lowering the motorcycle's unsprung mass.
A limited edition model, the Ducati Streetfighter V4 SP2 will have a serial number. It will only be available in the winter test livery colour. The 2023 Streetfighter V4 and the V4 S will start showing up at dealerships around the world in January 2023, while the Streetfighter V4 SP2 will start appearing in showrooms in March 2023. The new Streetfighter V4 line is anticipated to debut in India as well.
