Honda is stepping up its game in the sedan market at a time when SUVs are ruling the planet. The new version of the Accord sedan, which the Japanese manufacturer has hinted at, is said to "bring excitement back to the midsize sedan sector." The vehicle will upgrade soon and move into the 11th generation, becoming a more contemporary and svelte vehicle. With the introduction of the 10th-gen in 2018, the sedan that stands above the Civic in the brand's lineup saw its final generational modification. The brand offered the 7th, 8th, and 9th generation Accord in India.
The 2023 Accord will debut as a brand-new car with an updated exterior style that draws inspiration from the patent photos of the car that were revealed by the foreign media a few months ago. The new sedan's hexagonal front grille, which has been modified for a sharper appearance, offers a sportier aspect. The new grille has thinner LED headlights on either side of it for a more dynamic appearance than the old ones had. The most recent teaser pictures also show a front bumper upgrade that gives the car a sportier look.
The car's taillights and trunk have been redesigned to look busier. The model has new LED lighting components and a trunk spoiler that is built right in. Honda has also updated the company logo, giving it a gloss-black appearance. The vehicle will include a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system inside. Honda claims that this screen is the largest one they have ever utilised, and it also features Google's first-ever built-in connection for easy on-the-go connectivity.
The sedan will probably get a new hybrid powertrain even though the specs of the powertrain aren't yet official. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine with higher power and a sharper driving calibration is anticipated for the car's powertrain. Depending on the market, the 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines may also be available as additional options for the vehicle.
It's unlikely that the new car will enter the Indian market any time soon. In terms of sales, the 9th-gen was not particularly well-liked.
