Hero MotoCorp is going to launch two new scooters on May 13. These include the much anticipated Maestro Edge 125 and the new Pleasure 110. Pleasure will be quite different in terms of looks and design, while Maestro Edge will be based on the company’s popular Hero Destini 125, which was introduced last year.
The new pleasure will be coming with an updated design and look. The scooter engine will also be upgraded. The company has not revealed its technical specifications yet but it is expected that it will be the 110cc engine as seen in Hero Duet and Regular Maestro Edge. In the Duet, this engine generates 8.1hp power and 8.7Nm peak torque.
Hero Maestro Edge 125 scooter is designed keeping young people in mind. The new design is expected to have sharp lines. It will feature alloy wheels and USB charging. The scooter will be equipped with Hero’s i3S - start-stop technology, which will improve its mileage.
Let’s talk about its power, the Maestro Edge 125 scooter will be powered by a 125 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine like Hero Destini 125. This engine generates 8.7hp of power and 10.2Nm peak torque in Destini 125. The engine will be equipped with CVT gearbox. There may be a slight change in the power of this engine in the new Maestro.
The expected price of Maestro Edge 125 will be slightly higher than the Destini 125, whose initial ex-showroom price is Rs 55,080. The price of the new Pleasure will be slightly higher than the current model of 102cc, which costs 45,100 rupees.
The competitors of the new Maestro Edge will be done by scooters such as Honda Activa 125, Honda Grazia and TVS Ntorq. Hero Pleasure will compete with Yamaha Fasino and Honda Deo.
