The 2023 MG Hector has long been in the works, and now it is finally scheduled to appear at the start of the following year. On January 5, 2023, MG Motor India will introduce the new Hector to our market. The business has already teased the upgraded SUV, giving us a sense of the changes made to Hector's exterior and interior. The new diamond mesh radiator grille for the 2022 MG Hector makeover will be wider and bolder looking, and it will be flanked by LED headlights and LED daytime running lights (DRLs) up top.
While the style is probably going to be changed, the split headlamp and DRL arrangement will remain in the 2022 MG Hector facelift. Though the shape is anticipated to stay the same, the new-gen Hector is also likely to get cosmetic design changes. Inside, the SUV has a revised dashboard with brightwork used prominently around the revamped air-conditioning vents. The air conditioning vents are located in an inset area that divides the upper and lower dashboards. Both the higher and lower sections employ soft-touch materials and have double stitching.
With all the bells and whistles and cutting-edge technology packed within, the MG Hector from 2019 set a benchmark. The new Hector is moving in the same direction and will have a larger 14-inch infotainment system, which will be the largest portrait infotainment system in the nation. To refresh your recollection, the previous system had a 10.4-inch display. Numerous improvements, such as new apps and simplified access to other elements like air conditioning, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, and others, will be included with the infotainment system.
The replacement for the current SUV's Tom Tom-based navigation system, according to MG, will feature MAPPLS and MapMyIndia. Though a closer look reveals a touch-sensitive control on the lower right of the display and a rotary control on the bottom left, the physical buttons from the existing Hector that were located below the screen have been removed. New toggle-style switchgear is positioned behind the gear lever and is finished with new trim further down. At the bottom of the center console, a storage compartment with what seems like a wireless phone charger is located.
Additionally, we anticipate that the Hector will be offered with ADAS, which will undoubtedly raise the bar in the segment. Although the corporation hasn't yet provided any information about its technical advancements, we anticipate that it will keep using the 2.0-liter oil burner and 1.5-liter petrol engine from Fiat. The new-generation Hector will be available from MG Motor alongside the current Hector in our market, and it will probably cost slightly more than the current SUV.
