The Porsche Taycan made its first public debut as the Mission E Concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015. In September 2019, the final production form of the vehicle went on sale. And the company has released 100,000 Taycan units in just around three years. The milestone vehicle, a Porsche Taycan Turbo S painted in Neptune Blue, was put together on November 7 and is being delivered to a UK customer.
Porsche claims that the Taycan's three most popular markets are the US, China, and the UK/Republic of Ireland. However, due to supply chain bottlenecks, deliveries have slowed this year. In the first nine months of the year, 25,073 EVs were sold to customers, which is 12 percent less than during the same period in 2021. But despite the delays, there is still strong demand for electric cars, as evidenced by the order book.
Additionally, a transport entrepreneur named Jean-Hubert Revolon, one of the owners, has already racked up 1,88,119 kilometers on the ODO of his Taycan. He resides in the Lyon region of France and acquired a Taycan 4S in the middle of August 2020. Revolon frequently travels by car to other nations, completing an astonishing 1,200 km in a single day. Markus Kreutel, the company's head of body planning, really drove a Taycan Turbo for 134,911 kilometers between February 2021 and August 2022. During his business journeys, which regularly required going from Zuffenhausen to Slovakia or the Ore Mountains, the performance EV swiftly covered distances of up to 1,500 miles.
