The premium e-cycle manufacturer, EMotorad's e-bikes will now be available at a reduced price in Delhi as a direct result of the subsidy being offered by the Delhi Govt. This incentivization will further increase the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions in the capital.
The company is offering an additional discount of 5,000 and 3,000 on its EMX and Trex variants to further incentivize the consumers. Three of its models are available under this special scheme. Two of those, the personal e-cycles, EMX and Trex will see an effective price reduction of 7,500, which includes a purchase incentive of 5,500 and a top-up incentive of Rs. 2000, the latter is only applicable for the first 1000 customers. The Doodle, being a cargo e-bike, will see a reduction of 15,000.
Kunal Gupta, CEO of EMotorad, says, “This is a much-awaited move and one that will pave the path for other states as well. While most e-cycle brands have been trying to make their e-bikes reach as many consumers as possible, this incentivization solidifies the support and push to make EV the next big thing in the country. It is our objective to make India more bicycle and EV friendly and this move will help the whole industry reach that goal.”
